5304 aka Revo 2008 Platinum Edition

Posted in (E-)REV-O-RANGE, Pictures on 21/03/2008 by oxoxoxo

Yeah. Guess what. Bought it.

Also bought the SPEKTRUM DX3R with a second receiver.

The most advanced 1:10 nitro RC car and the most advanced radio/receiver in the world – I guess that’s what I always wanted.

Wanna fight about it? 🙂

Guess again. Ordered a second Platinum.

New body!

ProLine CrowdPleazer 2.0 arrived today! First body I totally have to trim myself. Body reamer and scissors therefore are ready! Paintjob will be done in b/w, maybe with a little orange touch! Stay tuned for final pictures.

Concrete logo plate finished!

Molded in finest well above C100/115 the REV-O-RANGE logo plate is now finished! It’s a real pity the pictures cannot tell that this plate actually is made of high-tech concrete.

One thing left to do: wait for the replacement for the broken bearing 🙂

New roll-cage is here!

Posted in (E-)REV-O-RANGE, Pictures on 11/03/2008 by oxoxoxo

Got my new roll-cage today (number 2 of the same kind after the first one broke due to something called heavy gravity). I will put much effort in mounting this one a little more exact to put just as much stress on the body as necessary. Hopefully it will last longer than its predecessor.

Shaft end got too much stress…

Posted in (E-)REV-O-RANGE, Pictures on 10/03/2008 by oxoxoxo

The pin-hole got a little too big… moreover the outer bearing of the axle carrier is history. Thanks to 23mm hubs and 410g tire/wheel combo? I have yet to find the cause.

MotorSaver Air Filter

Posted in (E-)REV-O-RANGE, Pictures on 08/03/2008 by oxoxoxo

It’s a big one! First off, I had some troubles when installing. Due to its size the new airfilter has a quite narrow fit concerning the space between the spur gear (in my case a 40-teeth gear) not only from the filter neck but the filter housing itself! Hope my setup stays in place even after running for some tanks and the spur gear does not cut something in half or worse.
