New video! JUMP-O-RAMA 3 – Part II

New video! Jump!
Posted in REV-O-RANGE on September 18, 2009 by oxoxoxoFunny… since I got my new HD camera there were little or no constraints left when trying to get that extra inch of height when jumping – just always keep in mind: it [i.e. a destroyed car] doesn’t hurt if you got it captured on video!
Now we have here: just one single jump in slow motion. Obviously my friend didn’t expect to get the car THAT high so you will not see the cars first revolution. Wait, there is a second one? Watch it and you know.
New Video! Underwater Love 2
Posted in REV-O-RANGE on September 16, 2009 by oxoxoxoH²O action, second part! Don’t get wet! As I always like to state when there is ruthless destruction involved: it’s not me driving nor my Revo being driven – I am the camera man of this video, and editor, and director
New video! G.L.A.S.S. 2

Posted in Pictures, REV-O-RANGE on May 28, 2009 by oxoxoxoWell… it has been a while since my last video (let alone the G.L.A.S.S. clip). Hopefully this will change very soon as my quest for the optimal video editing software has almost come to an end. Honestly – don’t touch HD with 60fps unless you got a MONSTER computer – it’s eating up all your memory and processing power – 15Mbps have to be put through somehow… The main problem with editing is simply that I cannot watch what I am editing not even in half resolution thus making it impossible to cut and edit properly. With some tricks and pre-editing of the raw clips I should finally be able to put together new videos – meanwhile it’s a whopping 80GB chunk of raw material which is waiting to be processed.
Here are some pics to bridge the gap
I have no glue!
Posted in Pictures, REV-O-RANGE on May 23, 2009 by oxoxoxoSometimes only still frames can tell what you do to your vehicle… first row shows the last seconds of an HPI phaltline tire, second row what happens when going full speed into a half-full beer can (or two)…

720p@60fps
Posted in REV-O-RANGE on April 20, 2009 by oxoxoxoFinally the quality and awesomeness of my driving
can be captured in an equally nice way:
All future videos – as proudly anounced on January 16th 2008 – will be in this format:
1.280×720, 60 frames/sec, progressive
Stay tuned for a bunch of new videos in true HD and 60 frames per second. There are already over 30GBs of 720p@60fps material on my HDD – I yet have to find an editing software that can handle the 60fps… any hints (I tried a lot)?
Power Duo – end of servo trouble?
Posted in REV-O-RANGE on March 12, 2009 by oxoxoxoLast week I almost lost my car. Run-away at full speed facing a concrete wall. Luckily the steering still worked (throttle/brake servo just died) and I could avoid the final impact by less than 10 inches. After a big turn at full speed (phaltlines, no flip over) I had to stop a running Revo at almost full speed with my foot, which actually worked with no major injuries wheresoever.
Now I am changing both servos to coreless digital ultra torque and ultra speed from HiTec (with HighResponse). Hopefully this powerduo will last and be reliable at 5.5ms!
Successful!

Posted in REV-O-RANGE on March 7, 2009 by oxoxoxoBroke in the second pullstart TRX 3.3 and it went… OK. At some time of the break-in process my temp gun showed something around 400° F… just hope it’s off a bit *shrugs*
R.I.P. TRX 3.3!
Posted in Pictures, REV-O-RANGE on February 27, 2009 by oxoxoxoWent out today for the first test of my new Version 3.0 REV-O-RANGE (with heavily modded TRX 3.3).
Long story short: I will break in an new engine on Sunday…
I experienced the same problem some people had when porting & polishing (p&p) their sleeves/crankshafts: stalling at idle and no possible way to get the idle up high enough for the engine to keep running… (although engine performs quite exceptional at half throttle and above)
Well after all it has been an old engine which was due to be replaced soon! Hail Traxxas ERP!
New Video! S.N.O.W. 2

And I almost killed the camerman
